Departing from Astorga, through Destriana, towards Castrocontrigo. We go on the river Eria to get into La Cabrera. Truchas is the capital of the High Cabrera.

Optional: a trip to the Truchillas Lake.

We go on towards Quintanilla de Losada, through Corporales where there are roman hill forts.

From Quintanilla to Encinedo we can visit the museum of La Cabrera. From La Baña there is a path of access to the lake of the same name.

We go backwards to Quintanilla to go on towards Saceda, Odollo and Pombriego until Puente de Domingo Florez. This is the main historic monument of the area, bacause of its ancient traditional architecture in the old celtic or Asturican hill forts and in the astonishing Roman exploitations of Las Medulas and las Medulillas de Yeres.
